A man has been found dead at a house he shared with his wife, who was a resident.
The Coroner has opened an inquest into the death of Mr Scott, who died in July last year.
The inquest heard Mr Scott had lived with his partner and two children in the property, a bungalow in North Melbourne.
Police have not ruled out foul play and said they were not treating it as suspicious.
The coroner has been informed and asked that any information given be recorded.
Mr Scott, 55, had been diagnosed with cancer in May 2016.
His body was found at the house in March 2017.
