Nike has unveiled a new line of match clothing and shoes, a commercial featuring Chacha Matcha, the rapper from the hit hit hit “Chacha.”
The ad, which debuted at the MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday, features Chacha and his friends, and features him wearing a white Nike T-shirt and black Adidas shoes.
It’s not clear what other clothing line Nike is working on, though the ad shows that the line is expected to include new sneakers, apparel, and other products.
The line is available online and at select Nike stores and online retailers such as Nike.com, Nike’s official online store.
The ad follows Chacha’s popular “Chachaca” music video, which was released in April and has been viewed more than 15 million times.
“Chatcha” is a Spanish word meaning “love.”
Nike is hoping the commercial will draw new viewers to the brand and increase the number of Chachaca followers.
“The Chacha ad is our latest effort to build awareness for Chacha in the U.S.,” said Lisa Chachalas, vice president of global communications for Nike.
“We believe that our new line, which features new and updated apparel and shoes for our Chachachas fans, will further build the brand’s appeal and create a stronger connection with our fans.”
Nike also announced a new collaboration with the NBA, partnering with the team’s new logo.
The new Nike logo, which is featured on Nike’s new shorts, socks, and footwear, was unveiled at a special Nike Fan Summit on Thursday.
The brand has long been known for its partnership with the league.
Nike’s basketball team played in the NBA Finals last year.
Nike also recently introduced its Nike+ app for iPhone and Android smartphones and tablets.
Nike said the company also plans to launch a new, more versatile Nike Air Max line, with sneakers in the same line.
“Nike+ has become a critical platform for connecting our fans with the brands they love, and this is another important step toward that mission,” said Tim Johnson, senior vice president for global marketing for Nike, in a statement.
“For Chacha fans, the new Nike Air line will be the first in a series of signature shoes and apparel we’re creating for Chachacha fans to enjoy as part of our upcoming Nike+ launch.”
The new line also includes a number of other Nike products, including Nike Boost 350 and Nike Air Jordan 350.
Nike announced that the NBA’s new Nike+ social media platform will be available for download starting Thursday.
