Matching Sets, the official app for the National Basketball Association (NBA) match on ESPN, has been awarded a win by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) for the first time in its 10-year history.

The ITF awarded Matching sets the 2018/19 ITF International Player of the Year award after it surpassed the winning player from the Women’s World Tennis Championships.

Matching Sets also topped the app charts in Canada, with a 10.3 rating.

The app is currently available in India for $1.99 and in Australia for $3.99.

Matchmaker and Matcha India CEO Akshay Agrawal said the win was an incredible achievement for the app.

The 2017/18 season was dominated by players coming off the back of World Cup finals, but it was the first year of the new season that the app was truly recognised, he added.

“It’s a tremendous achievement for our app and for our company.

We will work to continue to grow Matching with the app becoming the best in India, in terms of user-friendliness and overall user experience,” Agrawalt added.

The Indian team also won the World Cup in 2017 and it is the first season since the 2014/15 tournament in Bangladesh that Matching has been recognised by the ITF for a win.
