A new app has been launched by a team of local developers that aims to help children get a good grade in math by teaching them the basic concepts of multiplication and division.
A picture is worth a thousand words, and the number one priority for any children should be to get a high score in their math test, the team of developers wrote on Facebook.
The app, called “Matcha maikyo”, is designed to help elementary school children get good grades in math.
The app uses a mathematical algorithm to calculate how much a child will score for each question and then compares that number to a score from an online calculator.
It can be used to identify high scores in math, or high scores overall, the developers wrote.
In the last two years, the app has helped about 2,000 children in Japan score over 1,200 points, according to the project’s Facebook page.
By analyzing how many questions a child has answered, the algorithm determines how much they will get for each answer, according the app’s description.
“Matcha is an innovative app that allows children to learn basic math concepts with a very simple interface, while being able to solve any math problem,” the developers added.
After completing the math portion of the app, children are asked to share their results with the app.
They are then given the option to download the app or to buy it on their smartphones.
