You’ll need:Matcha cake 1 1/2 cups of flour 1/4 cup of sugar 1 cup of butter 1 egg 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract1 cup of white sugarMatcha 1 1 of Matcha cake flour 1 cup Matcha powder1 cup Matchasweetener, to taste 1/3 cup sugar2 teaspoons of baking powder1/2 teaspoon of baking soda1/4 teaspoon of salt1/8 teaspoon of ground cinnamon1/3 teaspoon of nutmeg1 teaspoon of cloves, toasted1 teaspoon white vinegar1/10 teaspoon of rosemary, toastingMethod:Place the flour, sugar, butter, egg and vanilla in a bowl and stir to combine.

Add the egg, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and spices and stir until well combined.

Add in the white sugar, baking mixture and matcha powder and stir well until well mixed.

Add the baking powder and baking soda mixture to the flour mixture and stir it in until well incorporated.

Add in the flour and matchasweeten the flour into the batter and mix thoroughly.

Use a spatula to form a smooth batter.

Roll the batter out to about 1/8″ thick.

If it’s too thick, add more flour, but if it’s thin, add less flour.

Add 1 cup to a piping bag and pipe a thin line of the batter onto the bottom of the cake pan.

Bake at 350 degrees F for about 12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool completely before frosting.

This cake is made up of three different types of flour.

There are the matchas, which are white, pale, and brown and contain about 20% of the flour content, the flour used in baking powder.

Then there are the white matchas and the brown matchas.

These matchas use slightly more flour than the matcha and they are very light.
